Instructions for Electronic Submissions, Volunteering and Reviewing

CHI has changed its conference support software. As a result, the SIGCHI Electronic Conference Site now supports

  1. SUBMISSIONS for three tracks:
    • Papers
    • Short Talks and Interactive Posters, and
    • Design and Usability
  2. VOLUNTEERING to review and mentor for the conference.
  3. REVIEWING for those who have been assigned reviews.
To use the system for ANY of these purposes you need to go to: http://precisionconference.com/~sigchi
  1. FIRST TIME USERS MUST CREATE AN ACCOUNT

    This is all users who have not used this system since June 2002. Click on _Create your own account_. Supply your email. Wait for a message with your userID and password.

  2. LOG ON TO YOUR ACCOUNT

    The first time you log on, you will be asked to choose a new user ID and password, and to supply some contact information.

    When you log on (or -- if you're logging on for the first time -- after you supply your contact information) you will arrive at your SIGCHI home page. From your SIGCHI home page, you can volunteer to review, find your assigned reviews, and make a submission to certain tracks of CHI 2003.

On your SIGCHI home page:

Once you log on to your SIGCHI home page, you will have one page that provides an overview of all CHI related information. From your home page you will be able to:

  • SUBMIT PAPERS, ETC.

    You will be able to submit items for the Papers, Short Talks and Interactive Posters, and Design and Usability tracks. Note that you are not required to finish the submission process in one session; the system will save what you enter, keep track of the whether your submission has been completed or not, and allow you to return to finish later. However, you must hit the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page for your input and subsequent changes to stick.

  • VOLUNTEER TO MENTOR OR REVIEW

    You will be able to volunteer to mentor or review; this will require providing information about your past experience, etc. This will be retained in the system from year to year.

  • REVIEW

    If you are selected to review submissions, this is where you will go to access the review materials, and to submit your reviews.

  • UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT AND CONTACT INFORMATION

    You will be able to update your information at any time.
