Opportunities for Designers at CHI 2003
CHI 2003's theme and special areas are of particular interest to product, information
and visual designers. The
conference theme
focuses on communicating via interactive products, a particular concern for information
and visual designers.
The
special areas
are all relevant to designers whose work focuses on emotional response and effective
communication.
CHI 2003 welcomes submissions from product, information
and visual designers on all aspects of their work with interactive products. The
Design and Usability track
is particualarly suited to their needs, as is the
Development Consortium
that will explore future necessary developments in
interactive products as a mass communication medium.
In addition,
Workshops,
and
SIGs
let you develop your design approaches in collaboration with colleagues from
around the world.
Demonstrations
let you communicate the results of your design processes to an international
and multi-disciplinary audience.
If you develop products for children and young teens, then
CHIkids
offers further opportunities for you to see how potential consumers will react
to your products.
lastly, if you have
skills and knowledge to share, then do consider presenting a
tutorial.
